Guided tour of Chichén Itzá and orientation walk around Mérida. Opt to visit ruins of Uxmal or visit three cenotes (underground pools) in the nearby town of Cuzamá.
Guided tour of Mayan ruins of Palenque. Option to explore the surrounding jungle on a guided hike. Spend two nights in a jungle lodge in the nearby national park.
En route, visit the Agua Azul and Misol-Ha waterfalls, then take an orientation walk in San Cristóbal de las Casas. Opt to visit nearby indigenous Mayan villages to see unique day-to-day life or journey to beautiful Sumidero Canyon for a relaxing boat ride.
Head to Guatemala. Take a boat tour around Lake Atitlán to local indigenous villages including a lunch at a Planeterra-supported Mayan community project. Opt to go paragliding or visit the Chichicastenango Sunday market.
Orientation walk around Antigua. Choose to explore Antigua on a city tour, take salsa dancing classes or relax with a massage.
Opt to go for a swim in a natural hot waterfall or just lounge by the pool.
Take a guided tour of the Mayan ruins of Tikal before continuing to the nearby town of Flores for the night.
Cross the border to Belize. Opt to visit the sacred Mayan cave Actun Tunichil Muknal, explore the Mountain Pine Ridge area or see the lesser-known Mayan ruins of Xunantunich.
Travel to Belize City to catch a ferry to Caye Caulker. Spend time enjoying this island paradise. Opt to go on a sailing trip to snorkel with stingrays and nurse sharks at Hol Chan Marine Reserve.
Transfer by boat to Belize City, then travel by bus to Playa del Carmen. Optional excursions to Mayan ruins of Tulúm or the diving mecca of Cozumel.
